In today’s video, we’re going to show you how to set up duplicate rules in Salesforce. Duplicate Rules help detect records that may contain the same information as a previously created record. This is a helpful tool to prevent duplicate data in your org and making sure that the data in your org is clean. In order to set up duplicate rules in Salesforce, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup.
2. In the Quick Find box, type and navigate to Duplicate Rules.
3. Select New. Now select the object you want the duplicate rule to be on.
4. Enter a name for the rules, a description of what the rule does, and security settings.
5. Now, select what happens when a user creates a duplicate.
6. Next, select the matching rule that determines how a record would be identified as a duplicate record.
7. Activate and Save.
